Zee owes her life, indeed her very existence to the company. But she is dependent on them for her continued existence, and is legally property of the company. Now the competition has made a breakthrough that could change all of that. She has six days to infiltrate the competition, then find, and steal the secret that could set her free. Along the way she explores the idea of what it might mean to become a real person. She also has to make hard decisions about how she will treat people she thinks of as friends.
