The decking was completely rotten. I got lucky in that the joists are 4x8 cedar timbers. Even though some were rotted on the top, they were structurally sound.

Originally, the island was set up with the sink on one side, and the dishwasher on the other. I rotated it 90˚. and moved the dishwasher to the same side as the sink.

I just sat the island in place where I wanted it, then looked to see what I'd have to do about the plumbing. I couldn't believe it. The sink was right on top of the pipes. All I had to do was rotate the drain line 90˚

I started ripping up the flooring about 8:30 Friday morning. I decided to keep going until I had the decking down and all of the appliances back in place and hooked up. This is where I was 5:00 Saturday morning when I finally quit.
